Sometimes confused with Tansy oil (Tanacetum vulgare), Blue Tansy Oil (Tanacetum annuum) is non-toxic and wonderfully powerful in aromatherapy. Tansy Oil is a toxic substance and should never be used for aromatherapy purposes. The distinction is very important and should be noted while browsing other essential oil websites.
Because of the chamazulene content, Blue Tansy has a gorgeous deep blue color that forms when the flowering tops of the plant are distilled. Extracted through steam distillation, Blue Tansy is also known as Moroccan Tansy.

Apply Topically: Our Blue Tansy essential oil is 100% pure and undiluted. To apply to the skin, dilute with a high-quality Carrier Oil such as Jojoba or Fractionated Coconut. See our dilution chart here. We recommend performing a skin patch test when using a new essential oil topically, especially if you have sensitive skin.

RELAX: Add to a personal inhaler and inhale as needed: 5 drops of Blue Tansy, 5 drops of Blood Orange and 5 drops of Ylang Ylang. Or add this blend to your Thera Lux Nebulizing Diffuser and diffuse for 30-60 minutes.
MASSAGE: Add to a 2 ounce bottle: 7 drops of Blue Tansy, 3 drops of Lavender, 4 drops of Frankincense and 6 drops of Copaiba, then fill with Avocado oil. Shake well and apply to sore muscles. (2% dilution)
BATH SALTS: Combine: 3 drops of Blue Tansy, 2 drops of Cedarwood (Atlas) and 1 drop of Ylang Ylang with 1 tablespoon of Jojoba oil and 1/2 cup of Epsom salts. Stir together and add to a full tub for a tranquil and soothing soak.
