Yes, we are proud to offer the highest quality essential oils available. We really cannot overstate our love for purity and quality. At Edens Garden, our oils are rigorously tested and meet the highest standards possible. All of our oils are 100% pure therapeutic grade. No pesticides, synthetic chemicals, herbicides, GMOs or harmful chemicals are ever used during any stage of the growing or distillation process. Our trusted suppliers strictly follow to all USDA food/product safety guidelines. As part of our promise, we never add any bases, carriers or additives to our essential oils.
We do GC/MS (gas chromatography mass spectrometry) tests on each of our essential oils and reports are available within each product page. This will give the breakdown of the naturally occurring components found in any given oil.
Yes, we do third party GC/MS (gas chromatography mass spectrometry) testing which is unique with each batch. These tests help ensure extract purity and composition potency by ensuring major constituents are within generally accepted guidelines, as well as providing quantitative proof that received product matches approved samples. If a certain batch does not meet these standards they are never used.
GC/MS stands for Gas Chromatograph Mass Spectrometry. In simple terms, a GC/MS separates an essential oil into individual components. The oil is vaporized upon entry into the device, and the oil passes through a column assisted by a carrier gas (usually helium or hydrogen). The column itself sits within an oven; here change in heat over time is managed. Different chemical compounds react at different speeds within the column, and this information is captured on the Gas Chromatograph Mass Spectrometry.
Yes, our oils come from plants grown in their indigenous locations (where they grow naturally).
We have direct buying relationships with our trusted suppliers which are located all over the world as each individual oil needs different climate, altitude, water, elevations, etc. They are extracted in the countries they were grown in. Our buyers visit these facilities often to ensure high quality/ standards are being met.
We care about your health and safety. All Edens Garden essential oils are 100% pure therapeutic grade. They are exquisitely natural and holistic. Aromatherapists and naturalists often choose Edens Garden essential oils for treatments. We do not add any bases, carriers, parafins, additives, etc to any of our oils. No pesticides, synthetic chemicals, herbicides, gmos, harmful chemicals or fertilizers are ever used during any stage of the growing or distillation process. We diligently guarantee that all USDA food/product safety guidelines are followed by our suppliers.
As far as possible, we source all our products from organic growers and distillers.
Edens Garden shares your concern that personal care products should not be tested on animals. Our company policy clearly states that we - DO NOT and WILL NOT TEST our products or ingredients on animals, nor have we asked or allowed others to do so, on our behalf. Any toxicology information is obtained from reference materials.
Edens Garden offers the highest quality essential oils available for caring consumers seeking natural and cruelty-free products. We require that all our suppliers meet the same criteria of no animal testing.
At Edens Garden, we often get asked if we are a Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) company. MLM businesses occupy many of industries from cookware, makeup and jewelry to nutritional supplements and essential oils. From the beginning, we have chosen to sell directly to customers through online sales and avoid the MLM structure. In fact, the reasons our prices are so affordable is due in large part because we are not an MLM company. And although we are proud of our solid relationships with other essential oil companies, we prefer to cut out the middleman. We hope to develop strong connections with each and every one of our customers by communicating and selling directly. From our garden to yours, we thank you for helping us remain transparent and giving us even more reasons to love essential oils.
At Edens Garden, we value honesty and transparency. Some companies use the term “Certified Pure therapeutic grade” to make consumers think they are getting a superior product when in fact they are getting the same thing (and often paying more).
Because some plants are native only to specific countries, certain oils can only be sourced and purchased from one place. This means that every reputable company selling that particular essential oil botanical is purchasing it from the same country and is undergoing the same testing.
The huge price difference is where it really gets enlightening. Each company selling therapeutic grade essential oil is generally purchasing it from the same country. Based on their company’s overhead and profit margin, they then determine a price point. Most MLM (Multi-Level Marketing) have huge margins and overhead costs. They inflate prices high enough to make sure they can afford their office buildings, take top dealers on cruises or vacations and offer lavish prizes to top sellers.
When purchasing a bottle of essential oil from Edens Garden, you are paying for the oil and a very modest profit. We are a direct company, selling entirely online. In other words, we have zero middle men. We only sell directly to the consumer and have chosen to not sell on a wholesale level. This makes it so we can pass on the savings directly to our customers. Our desire is to offer oils of the highest quality that are available and affordable for everyone.
We get this question quite often. Because many people use essential oils for self-medication and we are not licensed aromatherapists, we cannot recommend internal use. We do not know what medications, quantities and allergies you may have and want to be certain our customers are safe.
Our oils are labeled “for external use" for our own liability. It is very common practice in the US and many other companies that sell therapeutic grade oils to use “for external use” on labeling. Essential oils are highly concentrated and have the capacity to cause serious damage if used internally without the necessary expertise required in administering it.
Supported by the International Federation of Aromatherapists, we do not recommend ingestion of essential oils unless under the supervision of a Medical Doctor who is also qualified in clinical aromatherapy.
That being said, many of our loyal customers use Edens Garden oils internally since they are the highest quality available, but we leave that entirely up to each customer.
We do not recommend using essential oils around animals as they metabolize essential oils differently than humans. If you wish to use essential oils on or around animals, we recommend working with a veterinarian who is qualified in animal aromatherapy.
Many essential oils do not have expiration dates. Essential oils like Patchouli and Sandalwood actually get better with age. However, there are always exceptions to every rule. For example, cold-pressed citrus oils such as Grapefruit, Sweet Orange, Lemon and some pine oils have a much shorter shelf life and generally run their course in about 6 months to one year. We encourage our customers to store essential oils in consistent temperatures with little light to ensure the longest life possible.
For topical use, we suggest using 3-5% dilution rate on the body, and a 1% dilution on the face. Each oil we offer is entirely pure and accepted to be used by naturopaths, aromatherapists and natural practitioners. We never use any harmful chemicals or additives. Be careful to note that some of our oils are more potent than others. For the best results, many of our customers dilute essential oils with carrier and base oils or lotions for topical application.
EGCO stands for "Edens Garden Carrier Oil".
As a way to keep our prices as low as possible, we do not offer wholesale pricing or private labeling. We have chosen to offer our lowest prices directly to our customers.
If you would like to resell our products in any non-online store, feel free! However, we kindly ask that you do not resell our products online.
Yes, we highly recommend the use of an aromatherapy diffuser. It mildly warms the oils and emits the aroma into the air creating an inviting ambiance. Our Relaxation blend is heavenly in a diffuser.
At Edens Garden, we love giving deals. Our hearts flutter at the sight of discounted prices and that’s why we deliver the lowest prices possible, every day. We don’t want our loyal customers to be subjected to gimmicks or tricks so we consistently offer low rates by cutting out the middleman. We want your experience with Edens Garden to be delightful and consistent. For those looking to stock up on essential oil favorites, we offer free shipping on all orders in the US. We try to offer 1-2 sales throughout the year. To keep up to date as to when these sales are happening, please like us on Facebook or sign up for our monthly newsletter.

At Edens Garden, we care more about the safety of our customers than selling a product; which is why we go to great lengths to ensure all of our oils are free from adulterants such as pesticides, synthetics, fertilizers, GMOs, etc.
With that said, using essential oils in pregnancy and breastfeeding can be beneficial, but there are safety issues which should be assessed. Pregnant women should consult their healthcare professional before using essential oils. Essential oils should not be used in the first trimester of pregnancy or with difficult and unstable pregnancies. To read more, check out our blog post on EOs and Pregnancy here.
Aromatherapist, Robert Tisserand, states that there may be no difference between organic and non-organic essential oils due to the insignificant amount of pesticides typically found in non-organic essential oils. At Edens Garden, we are not biased towards either side. We appreciate that consumers are holding the natural industry to a higher standard. While at the same time we believe that non-organic essential oils do not run the risk of containing consequential amounts of pesticides, given a GC/MS test is provided for oil batches. For more info, read our blog post about organic oils.
Rather than going through each GC/MS report and figuring out which chemical family your essential oil belongs to, we’ve simplified the process by adding a “Safety & Shelf Life” section to each oil’s product page.
Each method of extraction is listed with each product description on our website. There are three main methods of distillation:
1. Steam Distilled: Plant material is placed in a distillation unit with water inside. Heat is then applied to the unit. As the water heats, the plant part (sacs) holding the essential oil will then release the essential oil. Oil droplets rise with steam droplets and are sucked into a pipe. The oil and water are joined at this point. To separate them, the steam runs through a steam pipe which connects to a cooling unit. The oil and water separate in this cooling process. Two separate pipes collect water in one, and oil in another.
2. Cold Pressed: A machine separates the peel from the citrus fruit, then mashes the peel to release the essential oil from the peel’s sacs.
Water is passed over the plant material. The plant material, water and oil are passed through a sieve and then separated in a centrifuge where the components are spun at high speeds, separating the water and oil.
3. Solvent Extracted: Delicate plant material, such as flower petals, are washed and mashed in a chemical substance such as hexane or benzene. These chemicals pull the essential oil from the plant material. The mixture of solvent and essential oil are then carefully separated with ethanol, creating what is called an “Absolute.”
Several of our staff members can analyze an oil by its aroma. We work with seasoned aromatherapists and chemists, and have aromatherapists on staff.
Only use Edens Garden 100% pure essential oils and synergy blends. Synthetic or carrier oils may clog the diffuser. Some single oils, like Rose and Vetiver, have thicker consistencies and may clog the diffuser causing it to malfunction. For thicker oils, use sparingly or select a thinner oil or blend.
We recommend room-temperature water. If the temperature is too hot or too cold, the mist may form water drops.
After 5-6 uses, or 3-5 days of continual use, please clean the diffuser as follows:
1. Unplug the diffuser, disconnect the power adaptor and remove the cover.
2. Pour any remaining water out from the “DRAIN SIDE” of the water tank. Fill the diffuser’s water tank to the halfway point with clean water.
3. Then, add 10 drops of pure white vinegar. This will help remove essential oil buildup.
4. Run the diffuser for 3-5 minutes to allow the mixture to disperse. Pour any remaining water out from the “DRAIN SIDE” of the water tank.
5. With a cotton swab dipped in white vinegar, clean the nooks of the diffuser that may still be dirty. Rinse with clean water.
6. Then, completely empty the diffuser again. Using a dry cloth, wipe the diffuser until it is thoroughly dry.
