Exotic and spicy, Clove Bud essential oil has an array of diverse properties. Cloves are the aromatic unopened flower buds of a clove tree native to the Molucca Islands in Indonesia and are commonly used as a spice. Think Chai tea lattes or gingerbread cookies fresh from the oven. If you have a lull in your day, the warm spicy aroma of Clove essential oil can inspire activity and action.
Often used in aromatherapy, Clove essential oil can also be blended with other citrus oils to create a soothing massage oil that helps increase blood circulation throughout the body.
Cloves are often used to give aromatic flavor and aroma qualities to hot beverages, often combined with other ingredients such as cinnamon, cardamom and ginger, or many other versions of spiced teas.
Clove Bud Oil can be used to make a fragrance pomander when combined with an orange. When these scented fruits were given as a gift in Victorian England, it was meant to serve as a gesture of friendship and convey sincere warmth of feeling.
