Don’t get scared off by the name, Dill Weed essential oil has a long and colorful history as a remedy for health challenges.
The Ebers Papyrus, an Egyptian medical document from 1550 B.C. mentions Dill as an herb of medicinal value. Many herbalists worldwide still use the herb for various health conditions, and it is a prized culinary herb for kitchen use. Dill Weed has a warm, aromatic and pleasantly spicy-herbal aroma. It is somewhat like Caraway.
In ancient Greece, special fragrance preparations were made from the leaves of dill.
