DIY Succulent Lotion Bars For Naturally Flawless Skin

Summer’s just around the corner. And beating the heat means dressing down and baring a little more skin. To get you prepped and primed in time for summer, we created an easy solution to your skin-care woes with these DIY succulent lotion bars, infused with Rose Bergamot synergy blend. Not only will these lotion bars have you waking up with flawless skin, but they’re also fun and perfect for gifting.

Beautiful skin starts with the right ingredients. Nutritive, anti-inflammatory and regenerative, Tamanu is the perfect pairing to moisturizing, healing shea butter. Skin-loving Rose Bergamot complements this healthful base by combining a trifecta of nourishing EOs — Bergamot, Rose and Patchouli — to create this one-of-a-kind lotion bar.

Just as healthy succulents stay quenched in hot, desert climates, your skin will keep hydrated and refreshed all summer long.

What You Need

6 oz Soy wax

4 oz Tamanu carrier oil

2 oz Shea butter

5 ml of Rose Bergamot

1 tsp of colorant (optional)

Succulent mold

How To

In a double boiler, melt soy wax before adding Tamanu oil. Once melted, remove from heat and stir in Rose Bergamot and your choice of colorant. You can add more than 1 tsp of colorant, depending on your desired color vibrancy. Pour the mixture into your succulent molds and cool in the fridge until the lotion bars are fully hardened. Remove from the molds and store in a cool, dark area.

To ensure the oil and butter evenly mixes and doesn’t separate, you may want to heat until they reach 165- 175°F. You may also want to try transferring your body butter to the fridge immediately once it’s in its container, to cool.

im putting the Tamanu oil in a body butter instead of a lotion bar. as the weather is warming up, the tamanu is separating from the rest, any ideas why?
