Description

Think of that incredible aroma that fills the air of a day spa. A few calming breaths and you start feeling like everything is going to be okay and life is actually quite miraculous after all. That’s what Spike Lavender is. It’s a bottle of “you’re okay and everything is going to be just fine.”

Cultivated in France, (the fanciest farming location), Spike Lavender has camphor-like nuances similar to Eucalyptus and Rosemary underpinned by the tranquil beauty of florals. Spike Lavender inspires peace and calm and also works amazingly as an antibacterial and antiseptic.

Lavender is an evergreen plant that grows to about 3 feet and produces gorgeous lilac-colored flowers. To extract the oil, the flowers are put through a steam distillation process. Spike Lavender is special in a way that requires regular use. Try mixing it with Geranium or Rose to craft a fragrance entirely your own.

LINIMENT: Add to a 2 ounce squeeze bottle: 8 drops of Lavender (Spike), 5 drops of Helichrysum, 2 drops of Peppermint and 5 drops of Copaiba, then fill with Jojoba oil and shake to mix well. Apply enough of this mixture to cover the affected area and massage into the skin. (1.7% dilution)

PROBLEM SKIN: Add to a 2 ounce bottle: 4 drops of Lavender (Spike), 1 drop of Geranium Seed, 4 drops of Frankincense (Frereana) and 3 drops of Orange, then fill with distilled water and Polysorbate 20 (manufacturer's recommended amount). Shake well before applying a couple of drops to a water-damp cotton ball and wiping oily areas around the nose, chin and forehead. Add a teaspoon of this blend to a small basin of water and soak a face cloth for larger areas. Relax and keep your eyes closed, as you apply the cloth to your entire face for a refreshing mask! Shelf life: 1 week. (1% dilution)

SHAMPOO: Add to 1 tablespoon of your shampoo: 1 drop of Lavender (Spike) and 2 drops of Rosemary. Massage well into the scalp, rinsing well, before adding conditioner.
