This Or That: Essential Oil Blends For Skincare
This week, we launched our newest skincare blend: Skin Love! And while many of you were quick to shout “Give me all the skincare", others were left wondering what the difference is between Skin Love and other EG skincare blends you may already own. The blends we’re referring to of course are Age Defy, Cellulite and now - Skin Love. So what makes these essential oil blends unique? Read on to find out the 411 on our expertly formulated blends for skincare.
Age Defy
Contains: Frankincense, Sandalwood, Lavender, Myrrh, Helichrysum and Rose
The OG of EG skincare blends, Age Defy touts a current 4.9 out of 5-star rating on our website. For years, Age Defy has been proving that natural, plant-powered skincare works wonders by reducing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and overall restoring skin to be more youthful-looking. And it’s no wonder why as it contains some of the most well-researched EOs for all things skin, including Frankincense and Myrrh which have been shown to produce miraculous benefits when combined.
Along with its benefits, Age Defy’s aroma is almost too good to be true. Herbal and rosy with green-undertones and an inviting freshness, people are likely to compliment you for its beautiful aroma (along with how lovely your face looks).

As the name implies, this blend smooths the look of cellulite, lumps, bumps and other little reminders that you’re human. Cellulite contains highly effective essential oil actives, including Grapefruit and Cypress which, in a clinical study, reduced waist circumference and subcutaneous fat in postmenopausal women when used in a massage. If you find yourself picking up a bottle of Cellulite, we recommend using it in a nightly body oil or sugar scrub.
As if you needed another reason to love Cellulite synergy blend, its aroma is fruity, zesty invigorating and a great way to start off your day if you ask us. There’s so many reasons to love this blend and its fun-loving aroma is a biggie for us aroma-heads.
Bottom Line: Use primarily to reduce the appearance of skin dimpling. Cellulite’s aroma is fruity, zesty and has been described by one reviewer as “an energizing scent that I don't grow tired of.”
Note: Cellulite is phototoxic meaning you should not expose any area of skin in which Cellulite has been applied, to the sun. This blend is also not recommended to be used if pregnant and nursing.
Skin Love
Contains: Frankincense, Sandalwood, Lavender, Helichrysum, Evening Primrose CO2, Roman Chamomile, Rosehip CO2, Pine, Geranium, German Chamomile, Seabuckthorn Berry CO2, Copaiba, Marigold Flower CO2, Gurjun Balsam, Rose and Vanilla CO2
If Skin Love were to have a profile on a dating app, it would probably read something like, “Do you want someone to romance your skin? To smooth out those worry lines? To accept you for your eczema, psoriasis and dermatitis while also helping you overcome those skin issues? To help you look beautiful, even when you’re makeup-less? Baby, I’m all of that and more in a bottle.” This hunky blend has truly stolen our hearts with its incredible, botanical-based benefits.
