USES
Description

There some aromas that just stay with you. Intoxicating and exotic with woody and earthy notes, East Indian Sandalwood has an aroma that is one of a kind.

Adding it to an unscented liquid soap, massage cream or bubble bath is a great way to liven up your space while also inspiring a soothing, strengthening and grounding effect on the body.

For thousands of years, Hindus have used Sandalwood during significant religious ceremonies. Native to the Asian tropics, Sandalwood is an evergreen tree that can grow up the 30 feet. It is also a parasite, latching onto the roots of other trees to survive. Younger trees are not as fragrant or as high quality as mature Sandalwood trees are.

Trees are typically harvested between 20 to 60 years of maturity. The tree’s wood is put through a steam distillation process to extract East Indian Sandalwood essential oil. The long and thorough process from tree growth and oil extraction only adds to the worth, power and preciousness of the essential oil.
