What to blend with Sandalwood

With its classic woody, musk and well-rounded aroma, Sandalwood essential oil has been beloved for centuries. Therapeutically, Sandalwood is a powerhouse against skin conditions, respiratory infections, muscle soreness, and stress. To share our love for this oil, our experts have crafted some of their favorite EOs to pair with Sandalwood and to answer those of you asking what should I blend with Sandalwood?

Rose + Sandalwood: The pairing of Rose and Sandalwood is divine. An ittar is a classic blend, rooted in history that was often composed of Rose and Sandalwood and used in both perfumery and medicine. The blend has a soft, supple floral character with oak nuances. It can also be used in skincare and as a perfume to inspire romance.

Frankincense + Sandalwood: A blend with an undeniable meditative quality and ancient aroma, Frankincense and Sandalwood will make your heart flutter. When combined, Frankincense and Sandalwood richly complement each other. Together, these oils help to counterbalance each other, creating a harmonious aroma you won’t soon forget. Use the blend during meditation, when you need to focus, or in times of grief.

Myrrh + Sandalwood: Like the aroma of the sun beating down on desert terrain, the mixture of Myrrh and Sandalwood has a warm, dry, woody aroma. If you’re a lover of Sandalwood, you will appreciate Myrrh’s ability to accentuate the pure, exotic, oaky aroma of Sandalwood. Blending Myrrh with Sandalwood, simply allows you to enjoy Sandalwood all the more. This blend also has skincare and respiratory benefits.

Ylang Ylang + Sandalwood: Ylang Ylang and Sandalwood are two oils that seem worlds apart, but when joined, make one of the loveliest couples you’ve ever encountered. Floral, decadent, elegant, and full-bodied, this is one blend you will keep coming back to. Ylang Ylang essential oil and Sandalwood are a honeymoon in the tropics, a day at the beach, a vacation in a bottle, and so much more. Use to uplift, relieve stress and help improve the appearance of skin conditions.

If you want to skip the blending but love Sandalwood, try our Vanilla Sandalwood perfume or body oil. Vanilla Sandalwood is one of the most popular aromas at Edens Garden.

Hi Robin! I can’t find much info on this blend and it’s difficult to replicate something without smelling it in person. My apologies! You might find someone who can better assist you on a perfumery forum called BaseNotes.net

Hi Bella.. I have a blend called deep meditation from Inbal. Can’t find them online to order more. It says frankincense, sandalwood and patchouli. I have tried several combinations but can’t get the same scent. What would you recommend for ratios with these three? Thank you so much!
